Overview

Individual will be responsible for supporting repo operations and cash management processes


Responsibilities

  • Communicate with internal departments, brokers, and custodians to facilitate the resolution of all time sensitive cash issues
  • Communication to the trading desk of all overdrawn portfolios on a daily basis
  • Verification of all daily cash flows in WA accounts and communicating to various internal departments
  • Research / Maintain Short Term Investment Fund (STIF) Rates Database
  • Coordination and processing of instructions, settlement, and reconciliation of complex Repurchase and Reverse Repurchase agreement trade activity
  • Calculation and instruction of pair-off/wire amounts related to Reverse Repo activity
  • Processing and instruction of Whole Loan Reverse Repo rate resets
  • Perform cash reconciliations and calculate available investable cash for accounts participating in Reverse Repo and Repo
  • Confirmation and allocation of all daily Repo trades executed by the Cash Desk
  • Calculate, confirm, and issue Reverse Repo collateral margin calls, to ensure minimum exposure thresholds
  • Work with IT to continually automate and improve upon existing processes and enhancements to WA proprietary systems


Qualifications

  • 5+ years fixed income operations experience
  • Thorough understanding of Repo (and all fixed income securities) trade settlements and activity
  • Possesses advanced MS Excel skills with exposure/understanding of macro writing
  • Understanding the features of different securities across various sectors of the fixed income market
  • Must be professional, detail-oriented, organized, problem-solver, and proactive
  • Possess the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure, team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and absorb information quickly
  • Ability to work independently on projects as well as in a team environment, flexible/adaptable
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior Bloomberg experience


 

Academic Qualifications (minimum requirements):


Undergraduate degree in related field, MBA a strong plus
