  • Overview

    The Blockchain Analyst identifies novel opportunities for uses of Blockchain technology; leads proof of concept development, and engages Blockchain technology with the business.  Works closely with IT Managers and development teams to influence strategy.  Follows developments in the non-business environment, such as regulatory impact.  Conducts market intelligence, benchmarks, and develops innovative business models to advise top management as it relates to Blockchain.  This position will also require technical knowledge to maintain documentation and conduct testing of software implementation.


    • Translate a set of Blockchain-based business needs/requirements and transforms them into high fidelity deliverables
    • Design and develop the business architecture of Blockchain solutions from a business functional perspective
    • Closely follow latest information in the Blockchain industry, understand the latest international macroeconomic policies, grasp the trends and dynamics of the Blockchain industry
    • Conduct an in-depth study based on the fundamentals of Blockchain companies
    • From a technology standpoint, work closely with development teams to design and visualize decentralized systems, process flows, and reference diagrams and tailor them for Western
    • Translate client requirements into Blockchain and technical specifications for the implementation of Western’s Blockchain solution
    • Define current and future operational scenarios (processes, models, use cases, plans and solutions) and work with the business using an agreed methodology to ensure proper translation of business requirements to solution requirements.
    • Work with internal teams on product and documentation requirements
    • Develop concepts, topics, headlines, outlines, and drafts of key content for internal purposes and for clients
    • Research and develop commercial presentations, blog content, client deliverables, business planning, technical whitepapers, and training materials
    • Strong written skills to document functional product requirements and ad-hoc presentations
    • Other assignments as deemed necessary by manager

      • BS or BA in Computer Science or related field
      • Minimum 1 year of experience in management in the Capital Markets/Investment Banking and/or Asset Management industry
      • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Blockchain working environment
      • Experience in establishing enterprise-wide solutions and implementing governance structures
