  • Overview

    The desired individual must have extensive experience in administering and managing large Windows desktop environments. Experience in maintaining and designing highly automated large scale desktop architectures is a must. The person will possess strong technical leadership skills; provide advanced desktop systems and security design, process development and improvement, assist in new customer implementations, and be actively involved with troubleshooting in extremely diverse environments. The candidate must have the ability to complete assigned projects on time, which includes, but is not limited to providing analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, and documentation. The candidate must independently identify, troubleshoot, document, and escalate complex problems.


    • Engineer and deliver highly automated Windows desktop platforms.
    • Create software packages from vendor installs and in-house developed applications using various scripting languages.
    • Provide problem resolution for escalated issues identified by the Desktop Support group.
    • Manage several projects and tasks while collaborating with other Development, Architecture and other I & O disciplines.
    • Provide technical solutions for managing enterprise desktops in production and disaster recovery environments.
    • Participate in the firm’s change control process.
    • Develop / maintain desktop engineering processes and procedures.
    • Collaborate with the Desktop Support staff, providing technical leadership when necessary.
    • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, identify/resolve technical issues
    • Ensure that products and services meet our overall objectives.
    • Provide statistical information upon request in relation to system and security activities.

    • 5+ years Microsoft Desktop Engineering experience with desktop imaging, software packaging/scripting/distribution using various tools and languages including, SCCM, Symantec Ghost, WiseScript, InstallShield, AdminStudio, WinBatch, and custom wrappers for various vendor install executables and command-line parameters.
    • Strong desktop technical skills and knowledge of Windows Registry, Services, Processes, System BIOS, WMI, Group Policies, Software Dependencies and Drivers at the engineering level with a focus on Windows desktop builds and automation.
    • Experience administering Active Directory Services, Group Policies, and Organizational Units.
    • Experience administering RES or AppSense Desktop / User experience management platforms.
    • Experience administering desktop / software virtualization (VMWare Workstation, VM ThinApp, and VDI)
    • Knowledge of /experience with Microsoft Windows Deployment Toolkit. (MDT).
    • Knowledge of Enterprise AntiVirus Engines and Agent configuration, deployment, and support.


    Undergraduate degree or equivalent in related field
